What is Early Childhood Education Technology?
The student enrolled in Early Childhood Education Technology is required to successfully complete two academic years of study. An individual will receive an Associate in Applied Science Degree. The student receives adequate instruction and training in curriculum planning and implementation. Experiences in coordination of activities in art, music, language arts, and other avenues of learning prepare the student for job placements in private and public day care centers, Head Start, teachers' assistants in public school systems, and other positions. All students enrolled in the program must have up to date immunizations and will have a criminal background check along with fingerprinting.
Upon successfully completing the Early Childhood Education Technology program, graduates should be able to gain entry level or higher employment in the childcare field.
Students gain experience and knowledge while completing practicum hours in the College's day care center.
