The Residential Carpentry program at ECCC prepares the student for entry level carpentry & cabine making trades. Training is provided in basic skills & technical knowledge in both rough & finish carpentry & cabinet making; proper use of tools, equipment & materials. Students who complete the first year of will receive a certificate in Residential Carpentry and students who complete the second year will receive an associate of applied science degree in Advanced Residential Carpentry.
Carpenters are involved in many different kinds of construction from the building of highways & bridges to the installation of kitchen cabinets! Carpenters construct, erect, install & repair structures & fixtures made from wood & other materials. Some carpenters do many different tasks, while other specializes in 1 or 2 areas.
