• Must be 21 years of age to take State Board Exam
• Read, write, and speak English
• Graduate of an accredited cosmetology school
• Successfully completed 12 semester hours of approved academic course work
• Hold a current, valid Mississippi Cosmetology License
• Two years active practical experience as a licensed cosmetologist
