East Central Community College Phi Beta Lambda members kicked off their Free Enterprise Project on September 24. The PBL members visited a local high school and taught a lesson on free enterprise. PBL members taught a lesson to Newton County High School students in Shelley Thoms’ desktop publishing classroom. Participants created an idea for a new business and designed an advertisement for the business. The class created “Paradise Grill,” a local restaurant. They were assisted with the project by Brittany Morrison, ECCC’s PBL member who is co-chair for the Free Enterprise Project, and is pictured at far right with NCHS students (from left) Erin McGaugh, Megan Holloway, Emily Skinner, Felicia Robinson and Caleb Raines.
