Members of Theta Chi Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda at East Central Community College kicked off their 2009-2010 Community Service Project on Sept. 19, 2009.  Each year Phi Beta Lambda members select a community service project for their local chapter. This year’s project will entail members assisting the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Philadelphia. The students provided lunch for the workers at the new CPC site in Philadelphia. Six members assisted serving the workers by providing sandwiches, chips, brownies and drinks for the men working at the site. Students participating in the service include chapter members (from left) Brandi Bounds of Philadelphia, Lakeshia Boyd of Forest, Shikira Moore, Stuart Willis,  and Shelvie Dixon, all of Philadelphia; and Jeni Collins of Union. The chapter also assisted the CPC by hosting a baby shower for the center recently on the Decatur campus.
