Several East Central Community College sophomore baseball players signed national letters of intent during a ceremony held Thursday in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building on the Decatur campus. Diamond Warriors continuing athletic careers at their respective colleges include (seated from left) Allen Johnson of Lena, Belhaven College; Ernie Triplett of Louisville, Delta State University; and Barry Meeks of Sweet Water, Ala., University of West Alabama. Johnson is a 6-2, 215-pound right-handed pitcher from Leake Academy. Triplett, a 6’, 180-pound left-handed pitcher/outfielder, is a product of Louisville High School. Meeks is a 5-10, 180-pound right-handed hurler from Patrician Academy. Also seated is Neal Holliman, ECCC head baseball coach.
