Five home games, including a homecoming match-up set for Saturday, Oct. 3, are included in East Central Community College’s 2009 football schedule.

The Warriors, who are led by second-year head coach Steve Cheatham, begin the new campaign by hosting non-division opponent Coahoma Community College on Thursday, Aug. 27. Kickoff is planned for 6:30 p.m. at Bailey Stadium on the Decatur campus.

East Central travels to Holmes Community College – another MACJC North Division member – the following Thursday (Sept. 3) for a 7 p.m. start on the Goodman campus.

The Warriors begin MACJC South Division action as guests of Hinds Community College on Thursday, Sept.10. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on the Raymond campus.

East Central continues league play by hosting Jones County Junior College Thursday, Sept. 17 and traveling to Southwest Mississippi Community College Thursday, Sept. 24. A 6:30 p.m. kickoff is slated for both contests.

The Warriors take a break from division action to entertain non-division foe Northeast Mississippi Community College in the annual homecoming contest on Saturday, Oct. 3. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Bailey Stadium.

EC returns to division competition Thursday, Oct. 8, by hosting Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at 6:30 p.m.

The Warriors journey to Wesson Thursday, Oct. 15 to challenge Copiah-Lincoln Community College with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

East Central completes regular season action with a home contest scheduled Thursday, Oct. 22 with Pearl River Community College. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Bailey Stadium.
