Morton High School basketball standout Shelton Banks (seated third from left) is shown signing a national letter of intent to continue his athletic career at East Central Community College in Decatur. Banks, a 5-6 point guard, averaged 9.6 points and 5.4 assists in helping lead the Panthers to the South State Tournament and a 23-7 record. Banks was named All-District and made the All-Scott County Tournament Team following the 2008-09 season. He is also a two-time recipient of the Panthers’ Playmaker Award.
